12 Volt condenser draws power from your batteries which are charged
when the engine is running or the boat is hooked up to shore power
or alternate power source such as wind or solar.
- Compressor
has brushless (Danfoss BD-35® models) run at low speed when
battery power is reduced and will not run if batteries are low,
never draining the batteries completely.
- The
refrigerant tubing is made of a salt water-resistant alloy.
- The
connectors are quick-connect / quick-disconnect pressurized fittings.
- The
new larger condenser is 25% more efficient than the previous model.
- Water
& air cooled units are designed that the fan always runs whenever
the compressor operates preventing loss of Refrigeration due to
a plugged through hull.
- All
air/water cooled units equipped with an on/off switch for the
water pump, to reduce current draw on cool days or for when a
boat is unattended for extended periods.
- The
pump is self-priming, quiet, will not be harmed if run dry, does
not require a separate through hull and can be mounted above the
water line.
- The
two-plate and box plate systems are configured with the larger
Danfoss BD-50® variable speed compressor.
- Cold
plates are filled with a non-toxic, non-brine eutectic solution.
- We
also supply stainless steel screws for mounting the unit in the
icebox.

- No
water pump required - refrigerant tubes are extended through the
hull and cooled by external water (requires a separate through
hull fitting).
- Our
test results for a 6 cubic foot, well insulated, top-loading box
using a wrap-around box style cooled cold plate at 70° F/21°
C are as follows:

will prevent loss of refrigeration due to a plugged through hull or
other loss of water pressure. On a cool day, you can also choose to
run on air-cooling only, as the current draw is less. |
