We offer a complete line of conversion kits design to fit your boat’s ice box and turn it into a refrigerator/freezer or simply a freezer or refrigerator. All of our kits are designed using welded stainless steel cold plates (also know as holdover or holding plates) which use about 1/3 of the power of conventional evaporator plates, like those found in household refrigerators.

The most critical component in any refrigeration system is the compressor. E-Z Kold kits are designed with world-renowned DanfossÒ 12/24 volt compressors equipped with brushless motors (avoiding any possibility of radio interference). These compressors are virtually silent when running and are designed to operate efficiently and continuously up to a 45o heel.

For sailboats, 12-volt operation is the most convenient and usually the only practical system to use. The more efficient 12-volt cold plate systems permit the ship's batteries to be charged when running the engine or during periodic connection to shore power, or by using a wind generator or solar cells.

Our innovative wrap-around box cold plate is the coldest and most energy efficient system on the market today. It is made of a cold plate on four sides the stainless steel bottom is welded on, and comes with a plexiglass lid. Installed, it becomes your freezer with the balance of your ice box being the refrigerator. If you want a separate freezer, this is an ideal unit to use because it freezes from four sides.

E-Z Kold marine refrigeration kits come complete with easy to follow step-by-step instructions, thermostat control, and quick-connect/quick-disconnect fittings, and are pre-charged with ozone-friendly R134a refrigerant
